Dental
Implants
A dental implant consists of two basic parts, a titanium screw that is placed
into the jaw bone and a prosthetic tooth that is attached to the titanium
post.
As your aesthetic dentist, Dr. Grady works closely with each patient to design
the perfect smile. When dental implants are needed Dr Grady's experience
and oversite is critical for obtaining optimum results.
Dr. Grady begins each implant procedure by evaluating the case and visualizing
the final outcomeCareful
attention must be paid to ensure the shape and color of the tooth match the
rest of the patients smile.
The surgical portion of the procedure is performed as outpatient
surgery by an oral surgeon. The surgeon will place
the titanium post in the patients jawbone. This treatment stage can vary
from one vist to several visits over the course of several months.
Once the post is in place Dr. Grady will mount the prosthetic tooth he has
designed.
Implants are durable and attractive and can last patients a lifetime. When
a dental implant restoration is perfectly constructed, neither the patient
or anyone else should have any hint that an implant is there. |
